The rooms were particularly good and individual in the second bathroom with exceptionally comfortable beds. The location was marvellous and incredible - easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. There was a great restaurant relatively close to the hotel.

The units are well-appointed, attractive in the second bathroom. The restaurant food is delicious, and the breakfast offered is good with pastries, preserves, cakes.

great room , but limited breakfast options
The garden room was spacious, providing an inviting atmosphere to unwind. The decor in the upstairs rooms struck a nice balance with its old-fashioned charm. I loved the luxurious toiletries. I enjoyed the river view from my room, which complemented the tranquil vibe wonderfully.
The breakfast options were somewhat limited, lacking variety staying more than one night.

It was our honeymoon stay in Rome. We stayed only two nights. The hotel was going under renovations at the time but that was not a problem at all. The place has beautiful gardens and the villa is absolutely beautiful. Very large rooms with balconies overlooking a very lush garden. A beautiful place by any standard.
I did not like that breakfast was not included with the rate as most hotels are, especially with the rate that we paid. We had a stunning room and the place is luxuriously furnished however for some reason who ever decided to decorate our room with clear acrylic furniture from the bed frame to the desks, and chairs should be fired. You cannot see the furniture and keep bumping into it as customers are not familiar with the room layout as guests. It also does not go at all with the rest of the hotel. It could be the Crystal room only but that decision is a disaster. Also the ability not to have a lounge open for a cocktail or even to obtain ice is a problem since there is very little restaurants in the vicinity.

The elegant decor throughout the hotel captivated me. The serene gardens provided a lovely escape after a day of exploring. Only issue was some courtyard noise at night, but overall a charming experience!

The garden terrace is a welcome retreat after a day's sightseeing in Rome.
Villa Laetitia is undergoing noisy and unsightly renovation works at the moment (May 2011). It is unfortunate that we were not advised of this at the time of booking or offered a reduction on the price as compensation for the inconvenience.

Charming and Unique Stay Near the Vatican
I loved the charming atmosphere and unique decor throughout my stay. The serene gardens provided a peaceful escape after exploring the city. The breakfast featured fresh, local ingredients, including honey from their own farm, a good treat. I found the Wi-Fi connectivity in the courtyard room to be quite weak.

The decor at Villa Laetitia impressed me. The charming gardens added a beautiful touch. Breakfast was a highlight. The honey straight from the hive was a treat. The staff were attentive. My room had a unique design, reflecting the hotel's character. I faced issues with the air conditioning. It didn't work properly. The information about the kitchenette amenities was misleading. I expected a fully functional stove but found it unusable, frustrating. Noise from the street was noticeable at night, impacting restful sleep. Still, the location was great for exploring the city. I appreciated the organic hand-drying towels and details in the room. It felt intimate yet spacious enough to move around comfortably. The hotel's charm stood out, but it does need to address some maintenance issues, especially regarding noise and kitchen amenities.

Clean stylish room with an equipped kitchenette and a private patio on fresh air - great for breakfast, dinner and for sun tan. Good bed, shower, toilet, bidet, towels, bathrobes, slippers. A living garden around. The villa is full of antiques - great place for taking photos. Quiet location away from tourist crowds but still in the walking distance from the city center, Vatican and metro. Free Wi-Fi and SkyTV with a selection of channels. Every problem is solved quickly by the reception at daytime or by Ashoka from the kitchen at night. The staff speaks different languages including Russian. Lots of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Feel yourself like a Roman patrician, that's a villa.
Expensive - this is the main drawback. The internet connection often drops off your requests, you have to reconnect (buggy provider?). The toilet sometimes smells not very good (depending on wind direction?). Once I had to ask the staff to empty a garbage can on the patio. This villa is recommended for people with good walking abilities.

Awesome! We stayed there for 4 nights. We found a deal, otherwise we could not afford it but when we arrived we were amazed! The room was more than we could ever ask for! Always clean and extremely comfortable I am sure no one could ever have a complaint. The staff was always pleasant and happy to assist in anything we wanted. Breakfast was unbelievable! Everyday there was a different range of things you could choose from (3-4 cakes, 1-2 savoury cakes, toast, cereal etc). I would recommend this hotel to anyone...especially in the summer it's a paradise!!!
The only problem we had is the location. We expected it to be closer to the metro station. It is about 15 mins on foot and about 7 mins from the tram. But then again public transport in Rome is a bit of a mess so I guess you can never find a good location depending on the public transport.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate our every need. Paul found a driver for a trip back to the port to retrieve forgotten luggage when needed. The breakfast buffet was an exceptionally delightful taste treat each day. Special accommodations were graciously made for our early departure day without it appearing to be a problem. It was a wonderful experience. An oasis in the beautiful bustling city of Rome.
